Hello MBMAG Members!

We need help crediting artists who made some of the links in our MBMAG Link Project. We have been tasked with labeling this work for the August opening of Surf, Sand, Silversmiths show at PVAC.

Our deadline for labeling is July 15.

Can anyone help? If you can identify the artist(s) who created any of the links in this post please email Rhonda Sprague at rhondasprague@sbcglobal.net.

We would really like to credit the artist who have contributed to this amazing Link Project. Thank you for your help!

Richard Cybulski is from Watertown, CT but he spends much of his time in Brazil.  He will be bringing a large selection of Brazilian gemstones, including beautiful, but reasonably priced, cabochons, faceted stones, an incredible selection of rose cut stones and a large selection of gemstone strands.

Richard Cybulski has been traveling monthly to Brazil for the past 20 years, and has developed strong contacts with cutters of a large variety of Brazilian gemstones. These include fine faceted, cabochons, rose-cuts, slices and designer beads in a wide range of stones, including aquamarine, beryl, morganite, emerald, tourmaline, amethyst, citrine, ametrine, precious topaz, blue topaz, andaluzite, amazonite, orange chalcedony and designer quartzes of assorted natural inclusions.

Richard travels all over the country, working with a large range of designers and manufacturers. He enjoys seeking out unusual pieces, all offered at wholesale prices. Of course, he also provides standard calibrated cuts as well. He owns all of his stones; he does not act as a representative or dealer for third parties. He is 100% responsible for his materials, none of which are dyed or coated.

Adornment 2015

MBMAG is excited to present a gallery exhibition opportunity this December and January.  Many of our members have been looking for new exhibit opportunities, so not only is this an opportunity to enhance your resume, but also a chance to market work in a gallery setting.  This gallery has an online presence, see Z Folio.

The theme Adornment may be interpreted as you wish. A little research on the meaning of the word might inspire you. Each artist may submit up to two new pieces of jewelry or small sculpture not previously shown in a Guild exhibit. This announcement is far in advance of the deadline, to give you time to create something new.  All pieces submitted to this show must be for sale, and priced with commissions to the gallery in mind (50% to artist/50% to gallery).
