Entry Fee: $25.

The first 25 artists can sign up via the link above to secure a place in the exhibit. The registration fee for this exhibition + sale is $25 for the first 25 artists to register. The gallery case space is limited and we regret that there is only room for 25 artists.

The title and theme of the upcoming exhibition is “Looking Ahead” and we are encouraging artists to create up to 2 new art jewelry or small sculpture pieces (maximum 2.5″ height). Your submitted art must showcase metalwork in techniques of your choosing. The theme, “Looking Ahead” may be interpreted as you wish.

Artists may submit up to TWO pieces of work.

The materials preferred are silver and gold with a minor amount of inclusions of gems, stones or other materials.

Artists will provide an inventory of their work (using the online Labels and Records form) and will also supply a printed Artist Statement and Artist Biography for the Artist’s Book which is on display at the gallery. The gallery staff uses this book to help inform potential customers about each piece and the associated artist. We are always impressed how much the gallery staff knows about each piece and each artist. Turn in your printed Statement/Biography sheet(s) when you give your artist to the show organizers or gallerist.

All pieces submitted to this show must be for sale and priced with commission to the gallery in mind. (ZFolio Gallery 50%, Artist 50%).

All entrants will receive additional information via email.

ZFolio has an online presence  www.zfolio.com and an instagram presence via @zfolio

Please do not contact the gallery directly unless you are dropping off or picking up your art.

We look forward to working with you,
Toni Danzig and Annette Nemes

A Letter from the Exhibition Organizers

The title and theme of our all member exibit is “Reflections” to be interpreted as you wish.

Monterey Bay Metal Arts Guild (MBMAG) has been invited to exhibit at the Pajaro Valley Arts (PVArts) in Watsonville, CA.

Although it is not required, we encourage you to submit narrative or story-telling work.

Reflections
1.  (of a surface or body) throw back (heat, light, or sound) without absorbing it.
2.  Think deeply or carefully about.

Common synonyms of reflect are: cogitate, deliberate, reason, speculate, and think. While all these words mean “to use one’s powers of conception, judgment, or inference,” reflect suggests unhurried consideration of something recalled to the mind.

Some ideas for your conception could be a collection that you have gathered such as feathers, shells, photos, et cetera. It could also be a scene or a place you have visited.

This has been a time of reflection for us all and we would like you to tell the viewer your story. An educational component is required PVArts and to meet this requirement a short story of your concept will accompany the work.

We will accept up to three metal art pieces. Sculpture is encouraged.  Sculpture submissions will require dimensions be provided upon submission so we can accommodate your artwork with pedestals or cases.

Your artwork which is on exhibit must stay until the end of the exhibit, even if it sells during the exhibition. Pajaro Valley Arts will coordinate with the purchaser to receive any sold artwork that is in the exhibition.

As well as exhibiting three pieces you will be able to submit up to 5 metal art pieces for the Pajaro Valley Arts gallery gift shop.  These pieces can be replaced if they sell.

This promises to be an exciting exhibit and at long last, an opportunity to show your work.  Our last all member exhibition and sale at PVArts in 2017 was successful and well received.
